ROANOKE REPORT :: An enthusiastic group of Scriptors gathered at the Hotel Roanoke for
the Fall 1975 meeting of NSCA on October 10 - 12. All sections of the eastern states were
represented including Roy Wood and Sterling Walls from Alabama - Charles Sedman from North
Carolina - Dean Davis, Charles Rogers and Don Edkins from Virginia - Cole S. Cuttle from
New Jersey and Virginia - Paul Jensen from Kentucky - Sam Nicholls, Bob Craigo, Harold
Snodgress, Arnold Tolley, Walter Caldwell, Frank Sprinkle, Dr. Charles Evans from West Va. -
R. R. Tippy from Tennessee - John Fliss from Pennsylvania - and others. Many, many coal and
lumber tokens exchanged hands during the trade and swap sessions and several matters of business
were handled during the brief business meeting on Saturday afternoon. Additional information
will be presented in this issue of the bulletin.

ESTATE COLLECTIONS: By action of the NSCA membership, it was voted to handle the
sale of any deceased member's token collection thru the Board of Directors of NSCA. The
service is purely optional for members and allows the collection to be sold thru the organization
at a fee of only 10% to the estate. Many members present expressed the idea that their families
and beneficiaries would not know how to dispose of their coal and lumber tokens and desired
that the officers of the NSCA be authorized to handle the sale at a minimum cost to the estate.
All NSCA members desiring this service should advise their families that the service is now
available. Additional information can be obtained from the President or any of the officers
of NSCA. Too, for estate settlement purposes, an appraisal can be obtained in connection
with the sale of the collection.

SPRING 1976 MEETING: So that vacations can be arranged, a tentative date of the first
week-end in May (as specified in the By-Laws) has been set for the next meeting. Additional
details will be presented in future issues of the bulletin. The majority of the members were
in favor of Hawk's Nest State Park in West Virginia and if plans can be completed this will
probably be the site. Watch future bulletins for complete information concerning dates
reservation information, etc.
